    the opening day
    On January 15, 1962, the Gwanghwamun Telephone Office opened.

    With the U.S. development loan, the state-of-the-art equipment from Siemens and Halske, Germany, will be able to accommodate 30,000 telephone lines.

    For the first time in Korea, it was a telephone station with automatic exchange facilities in Korea.

    Export date
    1,000 Korean cars departed Ulsan Port on January 20, 1986 to export to the United States.

    It has already exported Korean cars to the world for more than a decade, but it was the first time to export them to the United States, the world's largest market and the owner of the automobile industry.

    The car model, which was exported to the U.S., was Pony excel, and Presto continued to step on U.S. soil.

    Event day
    On January 21, 1968, North Korean armed communist forces attacked CheongWaDae and invaded Seoul's Segeomjeong Pass to assassinate President Park Chung-hee.

    Of the 31 people who invaded the gun, 29 were shot dead, 1 unidentified, and 1 surrendered (Kim Shin-jo).

    In the name of the only survivor, Kim Shin-jo, this case is also called the "Kim Shin-jo case".

    Kidnapping Day
    In the case of the abduction of the US information ship Pueblo, the recout ship Pueblo belonging to the US Navy was captured by the North Korean Navy on the high seas of Wonsan, North Korea in 1968 during the Johnson administration.

    Eighty-two U.S. Navy personnel were arrested for 11 months, but only the crew was released.

    The Pueblo was captured by a North Korean warship on January 23, 1968 while collecting information on the high seas of Wonsan, North Korea, and in the process, a crew member was fired by the North Korean army. He died and injured 13 people.

    It was the first time in 106 years in American history that a US ship was abducted on the high seas.

    Fire occurrence date
    On the night of January 30, 1953, a big fire broke out in the international market, which was the economic center of the temporary capital Busan.

    The fire was extinguished at dawn on January 31, but caused great damage, with more than 30,000 people displaced and 4,000 shops burned down.

    ☆Korea signed an agreement on the establishment of the Korean-Hungarian Resident Representative on August 26, 1988, placed the Korean Permanent Mission to Hungary in Budapest on October 25, the same year, and established the Hungarian Permanent Mission to Korea in Seoul on December 7.

    The following year Korea and Hungary officially established ambassador-level diplomatic relations on February 1, 1989, and on the same day, the resident representative was promoted to the embassy.

    Hungary became the first communist country in Eastern Europe to establish formal diplomatic relations with Korea, and in November 1989, President Roh Tae-woo visited Hungary for the first time as a Korean president to sign an aviation agreement and tourism agreement.
