On October 26, 1979, President Park Chung-hee had a banquet with Kim Jae-gyu (金~, 1926~1980), chief of staff Kim Gye-won ( 19, 1923~2016), and chief of security Cha Ji-cheol (7, 1934~1979), who were at odds with Cha Ji-cheol, at the reception hall in Gungjeong-dong after the opening ceremony of the Dangjin radio station and the completion ceremony of the Sapgyocheon seawall. As a result of the October 26 incident, the 18-year-old Park Chung-hee administration ended.
