On May 19, 1957, the 1st Miss Korea Contest was held at the Seoul Metropolitan Theater in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Seven people who passed the preliminaries participated in the finals, and Park Hyun-ok, the Winner of the first competition, participated in Miss Universe.
