    On December 1, 1988, the 'Yoon Bong-gil Memorial Hall' was completed at Yangjae Citizens' Forest Park in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

    This memorial hall was built to mark the 55th anniversary of the death of Yun Bong-gil.

    On a 2,000-pyeong plot of land, there is an exhibition room for artifacts, galleries, and video exhibition rooms with one basement floor and three ground floors.

    Yoon Bong-gil was born in 1908 in South Chungcheong Province as the son of a poor farmer.

    His real name is Wu Ui, his pen name is Maeheon, and bonggil is his nickname.

    Doctor Yoon Bong-gil ended his short life on December 19, 1932, when he walked the single path of the independence movement after injecting a bomb into Shanghai Park.

    The Hongkou Park incident occurred on April 29, 1932, when independence activist Yun Bong-gil threw a bomb at Hongkou Park in Shanghai, China, killing or injuring key figures in the Japanese Empire.

    This began to be reported around the world, and major newspapers around the world surprised the world by reporting it extensively on the front page.

    At the time of the first report, it was mostly recognized as an anti-Japanese struggle or Japanese revolutionary activity caused by Chinese, but the following day, it was revealed that it was an anti-Japanese movement by Korean youth Yoon Bong-gil.

    Patriot Yoon Bong-gil (21 June 1908 – 19 December 1932) who had already entered the rural enlightenment movement at the age of 19 opened a night school to fight illiteracy and promote national consciousness, including Hangeul education.

    However, recognizing the limitations that the Enlightenment Movement alone cannot achieve independence, he is seeking asylum in China.

    Patriot Yoon, who met Baekbeom Kim Gu there, agreed to join the Korean Patriotic Corps and plan to live in Honggu Park with Kim Gu.

    On May 15, 1967, the Silla Oak investigation team announced that they had discovered the tomb of King Munmu in Silla.

    According to the Samgungnyusa (The Heritage of the Three States), King Munmu left a will that if he cremated after he died and buried it in the East Sea, he would become a dragon and prevent the Japanese invasion of the East Sea.

    It is located off the coast of bonggil-ri, Munmudaewang-myeon, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

    This rock, called Daewangam, is a natural rock in the sea close to the beach, and was designated as Historic Site No. 158 in 1967.
